A Milestone to Remember

I had written this Nano a few weeks back but then delayed sending it for some reason.

Can you guess what this milestone might be (Hint: Bitcoin)?

Bitcoin’s market cap reached $1.424 Trillion Dollars…

Is this the milestone?

Surely that’s a lot of money and this means that Bitcoin is the equivalent of 6 RILs (Reliance Industries) or 37% of the market cap of all publicly listed stocks in India…Isn’t this phenomenal for an asset that came into existence on Jan 3, 2009?

But this is not the milestone that I am talking about…

The milestone is that at this market cap Bitcoin is now a more valuable commodity than silver.

This is indeed a milestone to remember…

While Bitcoin is referred to as digital gold in the crypto community (for its gold like attributes), it is still far away from reaching the market cap of Gold (as you can see from the visual above).

But will it cross the market cap of Gold at some point of time?

Going by the track record of Bitcoin over the last 15 years, it certainly looks like it will at some point of time…

When? Your guess is as good as mine…
