Rich in Money or Rich in Life?
In response to Tuesday’s post ‘Money Reveals This About You’, a reader asked me this question , “I loved the post but what exactly did you mean by the last line of your post?”
That’s a beautiful question and it goes right to the heart of the post’s message.
The line “money measures your means, not your meaning” is meant to draw a clear distinction between what money can do and what truly defines you.
Let’s unpack it:
- “Money measures your means”
Money represents your capacity: your means to buy things, to access comfort, to create opportunities. It tells you what you can afford, what you can build, and what choices you have.
It’s a reflection of your resources, not your essence. - “Not your meaning”
Meaning is deeper. It is about why you live, what you stand for, and the impact you create.
Money can help you express your values, but it cannot define them.
You can have all the money in the world and still live a life empty of purpose, love, or integrity.
In short: Money tells us what is possible. Meaning tells us what is important.
When you judge success purely by money, you’re measuring the wrong thing. True success is measured by whether your money is aligned with your values, whether it helps you live a life of purpose, and whether it brings peace not just possessions.
“Because money reflects your capacity to live; meaning reflects the quality of your life.”
Wishing you and your family a Very HappyRich Diwali; one filled with health, love, peace, abundance, and meaning.
